Dr. Evangelos I. Papaioannou is a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering, Newcastle University, UK.
He is the Head of Materials, Concepts and Reaction Engineering research group (MatCoRE group)

Specialising in advanced materials and catalysis, he leads the scientific and strategic direction of Prometheus, focusing on scalable solutions for sustainable industrial processes and critical materials recovery.

Dr. Iakovos Yakoumis is the Founder and CEO of MONOLITHOS Catalysts & Recycling Ltd., with extensive experience in catalysis and hydrometallurgical processing.


As Co-Director of Prometheus, he contributes to the company’s strategic direction and the development of scalable solutions for advanced materials and critical raw material recovery.
